Cary, N.C., June 17, 2008 - MicroMass Communications, Inc., a leader in behavioral science-based relationship marketing in the healthcare industry, has appointed Beth Davis to the position of management supervisor. She will be responsible for building productive client relationships and managing relationship marketing initiatives for the agency's new accounts in biologics and vaccines. She reports to Carl Malpass, Vice President, Group Account Director.
Davis brings more than 20 years of pharmaceutical, biotech and life science experience to her new position, working in a variety of leadership roles both domestically and globally. Her professional experience encompasses professional and consumer marketing, change and program management, commercial development, and sales and customer service. She has worked in multiple therapeutic areas, including immunology, pulmonology, cardiovascular, renal, hemostatis, and critical care.
Formerly senior director of marketing services for Talecris Biotherapeutics in Research Triangle Park, N.C., Davis was part of the leadership team that launched the company following its divestiture from Bayer Biological Products in 2005. She was responsible for corporate branding initiatives for Talecris as well as for establishing best practices within the company's marketing organization. Previously, from 2002 to 2005, Davis was director of global product management and project management for Bayer Biological Products, where she directed the cross-functional team responsible for the commercialization of a novel protein therapy.
Before joining Bayer BP, Davis was senior manager for commercial development at Aventis Bioscience in Research Triangle Park. During this time, she directed an international project team during a one-year assignment in Lyon, France. Davis began her career with Rhone Poulenc, working as marketing product manager/project manager with Rhone Poulenc Home & Garden Business in Research Triangle Park from 1997 to 1999, as manager of international customer service with Rhone Poulenc Rhodia, Inc. in Cranbury, N.J., from 1993 to 1997, and as area sales manager and technical sales representative with Rhone Poulenc Water Treatment/Polypure, Inc. in Parsippany, N.J., from 1986 to 1993.
Davis earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., and later this year expects to receive a Masters in Business Administration from Kaplan University in Chicago. She is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association and the American Marketing Association. She also serves as volunteer public relations director for Kramden Institute, an organization dedicated to helping worthy students advance their achievements through gifts of refurbished home computers. Davis lives in Wake Forest, N.C.
