MicroMass Wins Seven Awards of Excellence in Global Ad Competition
Cary, N.C., February 2009 - MicroMass Communications, Inc., a leader in behavioral science-based relationship marketing in the healthcare industry, won three awards of excellence in the RxClub Awards, an annual international competition recognizing creative excellence in medical advertising. Two of the awards honor the A.I.R. Program (Asthma Information Resource), an education initiative developed in support of the Merck asthma medication Singulair® (montelukast sodium). The other awards are for MicroMass' promotional materials showcasing the agency's unique services.
The two awards for the A.I.R. Program, in the categories of patient education and single sponsor publication, honor the campaign's successful, motivational approach to educating patients about asthma, its treatment and the importance of using medications correctly.
The agency's other five awards, in the category of agency self-promotion, honor a wide range of MicroMass materials, including the company's Web site (http://www.micromass.com/), a credentials book and credentials package titled The Way to Engage, an informational piece called MMC Goes Green, and a dimensional tool titled Coffee, Tea or a Shot of Truth? All winning materials recognize the agency's distinctive audience-profiling capabilities and its broad range of services. MicroMass uses behavioral research to identify individual key behavior influencers and applies these findings to develop uniquely relevant and motivational relationship marketing programs.
"An Rx Club award is one of the most prestigious in our industry, which makes these awards a great honor," said Jay Bigelow, president of MicroMass. "We're proud of the work we do for our clients, and it's also gratifying to be recognized for the creative work we develop on our own behalf."
Rx Club Awards have been given each year since 1986 for the best creative work in the global medical advertising community. Winners are selected by a panel of industry experts who use creative concept and execution as the only criteria for merit. MicroMass received its seven awards of excellence in November during the Rx Club Show, an international end-of-year awards ceremony held annually in New York.
