Account Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Relocation to Raleigh, NC area required In this high-profile role, the individual will interface directly with clients and MicroMass communications staff to design and optimize client solutions. Candidate must be a self-motivated team player who has excellent oral and written communication skills. Account management experience within a pharmaceutical advertising agency is preferred as well as ability to direct a diverse team of professionals to develop a well thought-out, strategically driven program.
  • Day-to-day management of assigned accounts and MicroMass account team
  • Collaborate with clients on strategic and tactical planning
  • Maintain and build successful relationships between MicroMass and key pharmaceutical clients
  • Identify and expand relationship with new revenue opportunities in assigned account
  • Review brand marketing plans and assess opportunities to integrate MicroMass’ solutions within overall brand strategies to enhance brand value
  • Responsible for all assigned accounts, including: clear communication of client needs to internal team, strategy development in concert with MicroMass Strategic Services, financials, overseeing development, and implementation
  • Manage time and resources effectively to meet agency and client objectives

Requirements:

  • Must have 5 to 7 years of experience managing pharmaceutical marketing accounts with demonstrated expertise managing RM campaigns and RM assignments targeting consumer
  • Leadership requirements: ideal candidate needs to be comfortable leading a diverse team, including other account staff, project managers, creative, and technology personnel of varying levels of seniority
  • Detail and process-oriented; excellent communication skills with a strong sense of how work flows through an agency
  • Utilization of the team and agency processes to ensure the highest quality and timely delivery of work to “end user”
  • Decision-making ability that will include assessing priorities, impact on timeliness, etc
  • Prior experience in working collaboratively with team members residing in different locations
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare- or pharmaceutical-related field
  • Experience working with Brand Managers in the pharmaceutical and OTC healthcare, strong consumer RM outside of healthcare is a plus
  • Account size: managed minimum of $1 to 3 MM

Behaviorist

Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking an individual who brings a unique understanding of behavioral science — someone who can turn a mountain of research and facts into compelling insights into how to change patient or provider behavior. This individual needs to understand key behavioral insights, but more importantly, have the skill and creativity to apply these insights to the strategy and execution of health communication programs.  We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about behavioral science and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a “whatever it takes” attitude.  The behaviorist will help assess, plan, develop and evaluate multi-channel health education and marketing programs and materials.
  • Understand basic marketing concepts and be able to integrate with behavioral science principles
  • Using medical, behavioral and communication journals, conduct literature reviews related to target audience/condition, interpret study results, and determine key behavioral insights
  • Assess needs of the target audience and determine relevant behavior change strategies that can be incorporated into marketing and education programs
  • Conduct competitive analysis of programs (including healthcare marketing programs, behavioral interventions, etc.)
  • Develop communication plans (curriculums) for patient and physician marketing/education programs
  • Participate in the following primary/market research activities:
    • outlining research objectives
    • developing research instruments (i.e., discussion guides, surveys)
    • assisting with analysis of qualitative data
    • summarizing key findings/insights from market research
  • Lead internal teams in developing measurement plans and approaches to evaluate program effectiveness
  • Act as an internal resource to multi-disciplinary teams regarding the target audience, the condition, the treatments, etc.
  • Communicate behavioral constructs/models to internal and external teams in a simple manner

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (Masters level or higher) in Public Health, Health Communications, Psychology or Social Sciences
  • Interest in applying health education/behavioral principles to marketing campaigns
  • Desire and ability to work in a flexible environment
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to be self-directed
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong verbal, research and writing skills

Medical Content Strategist

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical expertise and/or content to strategy, behavior, and creative teams
  • Collaborate with strategy, behavior, and creative teams to ensure medical content and messaging are aligned and complimentary with behavioral strategies and tactics
  • Function as primary medical content strategist and clinical resource in 1 to 2 business units
  • Work with internal teams, clients, and key opinion leaders/authors to develop manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and other highly technical medical communications with a high degree of accuracy
  • Conduct research concerning a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Attend medical conferences and advisory boards and conduct competitive intelligence on an as-needed basis and provide comprehensive summaries
  • Support VP, Scientific Strategy with educating agency personnel regarding various disease states and products
  • Support VP, Scientific Strategy and strategy team as needed for new business, strategic planning, etc

Requirements:

  • PhD, PharmD, or MD (PhD in medical related field preferred); other professional clinical degree with appropriate experience considered
  • Experience in writing manuscripts for peer reviewed journals as well as other scientific content (eg, slides, ad boards, disease state education)
  • Ability to quickly grasp the intricacies of a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in effectively training non-medical personnel about complex medical conditions
  • A desire and ability to work in a creative environment
  • Highly self-motivated and an ability to be self-directed

Senior Account Executive

Responsibilities:

The Senior Account Executive (SAE) will collaborate with the various departments of MicroMass to move work through the agency on behalf of the client. SAE will be responsible for implementing the defined multi-channel CRM strategy that drives identified client deliverable(s). In addition, the SAE will lead and manage the client relationship and also apply and speak to the fundamentals of evidence based behavior change strategies throughout projects.
  • Day-to-day management on an assigned account
  • Build and manage successful relationships between MicroMass Communications and assigned clients
  • Be detail oriented, well organized, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Meet regularly with Creative Services/Technology Services/Project Manager to coordinate agency efforts on behalf of assigned clients/accounts
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written – be the client advocate by articulating their needs to the internal team to ensure brand strategy and project objectives are fully met
  • Drive preparation of client invoices, proposals, and marketing plans as requested by manager
  • Review and approve creative/production materials, copy, layouts, and production art, and coordinate client approval
  • Write appropriate client follow-up documents including meeting/conference reports, change logs, etc.
  • Partner with project management to oversee project timing and budget
  • Exceed client expectations and add value to the strategic and creative process

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant industry experience including working knowledge of patient CRM programs
  • Manage development and execution of multi-channel CRM programs, including acquisition and adherence
  • Cadence/program flow
  • Email best practices including both content driven and delivery implications
  • Business rules
  • Data collection
  • Collaborate with external agency partners to ensure successful delivery of the CRM plan
  • Work with internal teams to ensure return on investment through KPI’s and performance metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in communications or in marketing
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and public speaking/presentation skills
  • Highly organized and self-started
