MicroMass produced a forum where patients can share experiences, access behavioral tools, receive support, and assess the true impact that carcinoid syndrome has on their daily life.

Patients often normalize their carcinoid syndrome diarrhea symptoms and believe that what they experience is the best they can hope for. This creates a disconnect between what physicians believe patients experience (1 episode a week) and what patients actually experience (at least 3 episodes a week).
Create a community where patients share their experiences, receive support, and assess the true impact that carcinoid syndrome is having on their lives. This motivates patients to talk with their physicians. In addition, the community deploys a host of resources designed to help physicians optimize conversations with patients and address unmet needs. Together, these initiatives help close the communication gap and lead to improved psychological and clinical outcomes.
