Providing Insights to Real-world Patient Experience to Promote Adoption

MicroMass supported the launch of an epilepsy product with an innovative campaign grounded in behavioral science.

Challenge

Epilepsy is a complex condition, and patient response can vary significantly. It can take years to find an effective treatment option. Many physicians are skeptical of new treatments, and patients are reluctant to consider a change in treatment even when presented with a new option that offers clinical advantages.

Solution

Create an online portal that tracks and reports patients’ experiences with a new treatment. Patients are enrolled by their physician and access the portal to complete a series of surveys that track how they are doing on treatment. They can also access tools designed to help them better manage their epilepsy. Physicians receive data about their patients in a feedback loop and can compare that data to aggregated data of everyone in the program.
